Chevy Full Size Seat Details 99-06

The 99-06 GM full size is a very good selection for a custom application.  They have integrated seat belts, and the feet mount to a flat surface.  The bolt pattern is the same from late '99 to '06 classic.  The differences in the seats are in the options.  The options are  armrest or no armrest; power or manual tracks; power or manual lumbar; heated or not:power or manual recliner.  The power recliner models do not fold forward for rear seat access.  If you are installing a power seat all you need to make it work is a 12 volt hot and ground except for a heated seat. The heated seat needs a switch to make it operate.  The factory had a switch in the door panel.

If you are ordering seat covers, there are many things to consider.  Call us because there are different covers that you could have even though the seat frames are the same. 

The '99-'02 seats are generally the same while the '03-'06 are generally the same.  The '03-'06 have more sensors in them for occupants and airbags.  The '03-'06 can be put in the late '99-'02.  You can bolt a '99-'02  in a '03-'06, but you will not have the sensors needed. It will cause your airbag light to come on and stay on.

Consoles and Jumpseats

The factory seats with armrest option had a console with storage in the middle.  The seats without armrest had a jumpseat.  Some jumpseats were stationary, and  some folded and opened for storage.  Both console and jumpseat shared the inside bolt hole of the seats to bolt down. 

Foam

The foam is the same from 99-02 Chevy except for the WT truck, its a different one. The 99-02 GMC foam is another different one also. From 03-06 all are the same on the bottom foam.

 Measurements

Seat bolt holes need to be 16 inch wide(center to center) and 14 1/8 front to rear.Seat height is 38 inches (electric seats can vary due to electric assembly goes up and down).Seat width is approximately 22 inches,across top of seat which is the widest point.Overall Width with either of the 3 factory consoles is 58 1/2 at widest point,which is at the top of the seat bottom.You can cheat a little bit and still use the factory console( 1-3 in)

 Colors

Colors of gray for leather and vinyl are Pewter, graphite and very dk pewter. Graphite is a 99-02 dk gray and very dk pewter is a 03-06 dk gray color. Pewter is the same color from 99-06 and is a med gray color.

Colors of tan leather are shale and med neutral. Shale is the lighter of the tans used mostly in Tahoe and Suburbans and the med neutral in trucks.There are special order exceptions.

The cloth colors from 99-02 in gray tone are graphite in the dk gray and pewter in the lt gray. From 03-06 was very dk pewter was the dk gray and pewter was the light gray. In the tans neutral was the same color from 99-06, although the covers were not the same.In the cloth from 03-06 the print is different in the Chevy and the GMC.
