The New body 99 to classic body 06 GM full size,Silverado Tahoe Silverado Avalanche
are the same in structure , the differences are in color and some early years had a note

To replace the complete lid assembly you simply slide your front seats back as far
as they will go and recline fully. Remove the T40 torx head bolt on the drivers side and
the 2 10mm bolts under the flap on the pass side. Reinstall on the new and you are

To replace the lid using the lid repair kit.
1. Remove the complete lid assembly as instructed above
2. Open compartment and with a flatblade screwdriver pry off interior panel.
3. Push hinge pin out with a punch or pull with vice grips
4. Discard old top
5. install new lid pin and springs as shown in photo
6. Make sure lid opens and folds correctly
7. Lay on table as in photo to install interior panel
8. Reinstall the 3 bolts that holds compartment on.

Remove these 3 bolts to remove lid assembly
